Sam has been a part of Crater Hill Equestrian since the beginning of the lesson program. Sam is the head trainer and barn manager with an extensive background in multiple different disciplines including dressage and endurance. Under Sam's guidance, riders have gone from complete beginners to seasoned endurance riders.
In the last few years, Sam has guided over 15 riders from complete beginners to 100-mile riders, as well as helped countless others achieve their endurance dreams.
Mollie has been a part of the Crater Hill team since 2019. For the last few years, she has taught riding lessons to riders of all ages and skill levels. Mollie has been competing in endurance for the past eight years and brings a lot of valuable experience to share with our barn.
In the past few years, Mollie has become the 2023 AERC Young Rider National Champion, had numerous top-10 100-mile completions, and a 100% completion record.
Erin McChesney has 45 years of experience with both dressage and endurance. She's both won the Tevis and Haggin Cups, twice on the same horse, and has also won regional championships in dressage, including a top ten at the Canadian Arabian Nationals. Currently, Erin is riding endurance on her young horses, bringing along her next dressage horse, and is an apprentice judge for WDAA with USEF.
Erin is very qualified, with a wealth of horse experience, and is a thorough and approachable instructor and coach.
